About the canvas, ink and frame
Stretched canvas has the benefit that it can be hung on the wall and enjoyed the day it arrives (unlike prints on paper, that need to be framed and protected by glass or acrylic). No additional framing is necessary. When desired however, the artwork can be mounted floating inside a secondary frame, or framed traditionally.
The image is printed on iridescent canvas with a beautiful pearlescent luster finish that reflects the light captured by the camera lens that is often lost in print.
The canvas is specifically designed for the high-end fine art and photography markets and is proudly developed and made in the USA. It meets and exceeds the standards set forth by the Fine Art Trade Guild for pH and light fastness so you can be confident that the artwork is of archival quality (unlike inkjet prints on cheap thin canvas made oversees).
Commercial-grade inks stand up to moisture, resist fading, and last a very long time; they are UV-resistant and the canvas can be cleaned with a damp cloth without risk of smudging (unlike inkjet prints). Avoid hanging your art in direct sunlight though because even the best inks will fade under those conditions.
The canvas is stretched over a wooden frame built from quality kiln-dried stretcher bars.
